Gardner/Fox fit-out the interor of an 18,000 square foot Gerneral Services Administration facility for the Department of Homeland Security Naturalization and Immigration Services.
Structural enhancements included engineered seismic bracing on the roof and end wall.
Mechanically, the space received new rooftop HVAC units, duct, VAV's, and controls; new electrical distribution and lighting throughout; new fire alarm and security system; new CAT 6 telephone and data wiring.
ADA compliance aspects include new entrance walks and aluminum storefronts, two new restrooms, renovations to existing restrooms (lower mirrors, new lavs and faucets, HC toilet compartments and lowering urinal), and new HC water coolers.
Amenities include granite countertops, bullet-proof acrylic transaction windows, a monitored security system with cameras and key-card access, fire alarms, motion-sensing lighting, a Modernfold brand folding partition, blast-resistant film on the exterior windows, a data center, and secure storage.
Finishes include carpet tiles, tegular acoustic ceiling tiles, ceramic and stone tiles, and vinyl wall covering.
