After: The spacious new kitchen provides plenty of functional storage and the countertops remain clear for prep and clean up activities, thanks in part to a 12-foot center island. Natural light flows into the breakfast room through a new bay window whose dimensions match the existing. The existing kitchen now serves as a casual sitting area adjacent to the addition.
