The patio is now open at MidAtlantic Restaurant and Tap Room and with the fire pit a’ blazing, it’s a great spot to wind down after hours.
The final design of the fire pit was the result of a collaboration between CCS Architecture of New York, Gardner/Fox, and Spark Modern Fire. Spark had worked with Danbury Sheet Metal in Connecticut on a previous project so we reached-out to them to fabricate a similar metal base for this project.
Due to local Fire Codes, a stainless steel mesh screen was designed and fabricated to protect patrons from the fire. The resulting fire pit consists of a 24” x 24” x 118” steel base with a powder coat finish. Natural gas is supplied to the unit through the base with access to the igniter controls via a removable access panel on the side.
