Gardner/Fox builds on our commitment to energy conservation with the addition of a second Hybrid vehicle, the installation of a tankless water heater, and conversion to compact fluorescent light bulbs.
The Ford Escape Hybrid is the most energy efficient SUV on the market and complies with the strictest emissions requirements in the nation. As a full hybrid, the Escape is capable of running solely in electric mode and utilizes “regenerative braking technology” to channel energy from the brakes for storage in the battery.
Compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) consume 2/3 less energy than regular light bulbs, last 10 times longer, and produce 70% less heat. Over the course of its lifetime, a CFL can prevent more than 450 pounds of emissions from a power plant.
Tankless water heaters conserve energy by heating water only when necessary and are 98% efficient.
