Through the COVID-19 pandemic, we know that being stuck inside can be difficult. It strains not only our physical health but mental health. While things are constantly changing, one thing remains the same, our dedication to our clients and the improvement of their lives through renovations.
This past week we heard from a client who let us know her project has improved the lives of her, and her family, especially during this trying time:
By opening up their floorplan and providing a functional design we were able to create a space, that during this unprecedented time, improves this family’s day to day life that much more.
Before the renovation, the family’s compartmentalized first-floor plan left them with much to be desired. As a family of 5, they wanted to expand their kitchen and provide plenty of space to accommodate multiple people at once. They also wanted their new layout to seamlessly connect the adjacent family room, where they spent most of their time.
After incorporating a small porch into the layout, the renovated floorplan meets all of the family’s goals:
- First, the family now has an updated and expanded kitchen, which offers additional storage, counter space, and breathing room.
- Second, the project included a cozy eat-in breakfast nook, which bridges the gap between the kitchen and family room. This space offers the family something they didn’t have before, an informal dining space. This light-filled, multi-use area is perfect for homework or enjoying a meal together.
- Finally, the renovation provided an open and connected living space. Before the renovation, it was difficult to feel connected to anything in the family room while working in the kitchen. Now, the seamlessly connected spaces make it easy for family members to feel together, wherever they are.
We are so happy to hear that this family is enjoying their space and we want to make sure you do too! Click here to send us a message and schedule your virtual consultation!
