Gardner/Fox president Brook Gardner (far right) led the George Woodward Company board members on a tour of one of the environmentally friendly twin homes pictured here. Tour attendees included (from left to right) Board Member David Spangler; Secretary, Judy Harvey; Board Member Jim Perna; Treasurer, Svaha Woodward; Chairman, Stanley Woodward; President, Tansy Foster; and Gardner/Fox President, Brook Gardner.
Environmentally friendly twin homes built by Gardner/Fox and developed by the George Woodward Company received the highest green building certification issued by the United States Green Building Council, making Philadelphia the home of the nation’s first Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum certified side-by-side duplexes.
Platinum certification is the highest rating offered by LEED for Homes, a rating system that promotes the design and construction of high-performance green homes. The duplexes, which were designed by Re:Vision Architecture, exceeded the Platinum certification level by a whopping 9 points.
