In 1999 Gardner/Fox did their first renovation to Porsche of Conshohocken, and 19 years later they asked us to come back and work our magic again! The space began as a combined Audi and Porsche dealership, and was renovated to serve independently as Porsche.
The renovations provided independent showrooms for new and pre-owned vehicles and full service for both. The first portion of the renovation was to the exteriors of the buildings, receiving a new facade as well as new signage.
To bridge the gap between the two buildings, we created an indoor vehicle service drop-off area, including a valet. After customers drop off their cars, they can enter the new showroom where they are greeted by the new service center, and customer lounge. In the service lounge customers will find a new beverage and snack center, as well as Wi-Fi and USB connections for mobile devices and computers.
In the new showroom a fitting lounge was constructed for customers to select all types of finishes in order to customize their new Porsches. All of the new sales offices and conference rooms were constructed with glass partitions for a sleek streamlined look. Finally the merchandise area was redesigned to hold more Porsche products for sale from t-shirts to golf clubs.
The service shop also received significant finish upgrades, the entire floor received porcelain tile, while walls, ceilings, and structural steel all received paint. The final portion of the renovation was to the electrical infrastructure of the building, to receive the new high speed charging stations due to be released in 2019.
