Just as a recap: The Natural Lands Trust was recently granted ownership of the Haas’ Estate in Villanova and has started on the path to creating a public garden. Gardner/Fox began construction to make this new public space a reality. You can read more about the entire project here.

Big things are happening at Stoneleigh!

First things first, tennis courts on the back of the property have been removed, and in their place, we are installing a shelter for the use of future guests.

Work on the pool/pool house is almost complete. The pool itself has been emptied, demolished, and filled in. The previous pool house, which has also been demolished down to the footprint, is being built into a new visitors facility/restroom. Guests will be able to find information about the gardens and estate, as well as maps for the paths.

The work on the carriage house is underway. We’ve begun by installing energy efficient windows and doors. The building will receive new siding as well as repairs to the stone exterior. The second floor of the carriage house will be re-purposed as an administrative office and apartment.
