People often ask us for our opinion on whether or not they should do something to their home, based on resale value. Our opinion is always that you should do what YOU want and not worry about resale value (within reason and your own financial strength). The renovation will almost always cost more than the return, so do it because you want it. Does this mean you should tile all the walls in your bathroom bright orange? Probably not. But if you want to swap out that seldom-used soaking tub for a more spacious floor plan and to-die-for shower – absolutely!
