Pot Fillers: A cook’s dream or an unnecessary extravagance?
Why do you need a pot-filler? The truth is you don’t. But in our experience, it sure is handy.
Pot fillers benefit home chefs who feed a crowd, whip up loads of soup or pasta , or boil oversize food items on a regular basis. They save time and eliminate stress on the body from toting and lifting water-filled pots. Plus, they accommodate the use of pots too tall or broad to fit in a sink. You can simultaneously tend to pans bubbling with sauces and sizzling with stir-fries while filling stockpots and saucepans with water.
Note that pot-fillers only eliminate one leg of the journey as you will still have to transport the filled pot back to the sink when you’re done cooking.
Fixture costs vary according to the type and material selected, but installation cost is nominal, especially as part of an overall kitchen renovation. Choose one that looks cool, accommodates your tallest pot, and complements the style of your kitchen.
Our Verdict: A cook’s dream.
