This month, Gardner/Fox completed the construction of private work pods in an open office facility in Philadelphia. The private work pods offer a unique and easy to implement solution for those in need of a quiet space in large collaborative offices.

Before the renovation, the office was one large collaborative space, but by using glass partitions and adjusting the electrical wiring to provide power to each unit, the pods now offer 4 separate 10 sq. ft. offices. Each has its own desk, seating, and sliding entrance.

Not only do they offer privacy, but the pods provide safe spaces for employees particularly vulnerable and concerned with social distancing. The glass partitions allow for privacy without completely isolating employees like traditional cubicles.
